No gout does not evolve to become rheumatoid arthritis. These are separate diseases with arthritis as a common symptom.
But gout can evolve to involve multiple joints in the upper as well as lower limbs leading to unsightly deformities. Furthermore it can also damage kidneys, arteries and heart if not properly treated.
For proper management of gout attacks, you need to consult a Rheumatologist for detailed history, physical examination and relevant investigations.
