Geting rid of dark mosquito bite scars

My skin gets very itchy even for a small bite and I can stop myself from scratching. As a result, I now have a large number of mosquito bite scars. Though I take prevention measures now to stop mosquito bites, these old dark spots all over my arms and legs looks bad. I am looking for some suggestions on how to cure this.
