Hello,  anxiety and gut are very much linked to each other. The symptoms you mentioned most likely point towards a psychological origin. Also if your symptoms increase during periods of stress like exams, attending interviews, meeting new people or giving a presentation, again point towards psychological basis. I would suggest that you visit a psychiatrist to get yourself evaluated for anxiety disorders.

Most certainly. Stress leads to anxiety and gastrointestinal problems like you mentioned are fairly common in these individuals. INFLAMMATORY BOWEL SYNDROME may explain a lot of symptoms that you have stated. These individuals go to lots of Gastro specialists but fail to find any cause of their illness. Picture this. Before an exam, or a big event, we all have butterflies in our stomach, and most of us rush to the wash room to allay anxiety. Now if this anxiety has set in permanently, the stomach may at times give trouble with presentations like diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence etc. I would recommend you to see a psychiatrist who could further explore and treat your problem.

Stomach pain, vomiting, feeling bloated, loose motions, constipation can occur in psychological problems as well, as our mind & body are interconnected. If you do not have significant weight loss, blood in stools, significant apetite loss or any positive findings on examination or investigations & considering your age, psychological factors may be the cause. Please visit a psychiatrist who will assess you & according treat you if needed.
