Am not diabetic but want to know that Dr Reddy's CELVIDA has fructose/ low calorie sweetner. Then how it helps blood sugar control as they are claiming?

Fructose is a natural sugar found in fruits and they metabolised easily than glucose or galactose hence they do not increase blood sugar in spike

You’re right. Fructose is not great for sugars either. It has 25% carbs also and over 45% protein. It can be a meal replacement/ not a supplement to meals. I don’t advice and of these supplements over and above proteins in the food, unless patients are really lean and need to gain weight Again there are many other whey protein supplements that have no added fructose or carbs.
