There are many myths about normal'   care of our eyes.God has given us this beautiful part of our body to see the beauty of the world. It is totally dependent on you how many times you are comfortable with washing your eyes.Frequent washing is not recommended but we always recommend to wash your eyes when ever your eyes are strained and tired.Of course eye wash is a must when ever you are coming from outside..You can also try out with soothing eye drop like  I -tone.

You can wash your eyes with cold or luke warm tap water. Washing eyes repeatedly while they remain open is not recommended. You can use any OTC lubricant drop 4-5 times a day.

Sir early morning you can thoroughly wash with eyes open with cold water. All day long you can keep eyes closed and splash water to clean the eyes or else the essential tear film will get washed off. Eyedrops Lubrex can be used for both eyes 1 drop 3 times a day, gives soothing comfort to the eyes. You can use it for as long as you want. Always mention a date over the bottle whenever you open it and use it only for a period of 1 month. For next month you can buy another Eyedrops.
