Pan d, is a acid blocker drug. It stops acid production in the stomach. Which helps  in healing Inflammation of stomach walls. It is not meant for helping in digestion. It should only be taken when adviced by doctor in specific diseases. Often it is mis used by pharmacists by providing it for all digestive problems.
