My mother had two to three operations for gangrene fingers but they keep recurring. Anything that could be done?

1 is she a diabetic? 2.need to rule out damage to the blood vessels ,called peripheral vascular disease? 3.Some autoimmune disease like SLE since she is a female 4.look for condition called raynaud disease
