Gallstone of 7.5mm

I have been suggested Laparoscopic cholecystectomy with gall bladder removal. Is it really needed to remove the organ or can this be treated with only stone removal?

Hi practo user , Gall bladder stones generally occur due to diseased gall bladder ( infection in gall bladder) unlike kidney stones that is unrelated to diseased kidney . So , only option is laparoscopic cholecystectomy in case of gall bladder stone to remove the diseased Gall bladder to avoid any complications related to it in future . Hope this helps
