I have done USG and the report shows gall bladder distended what does distended means ? Is it serious or needs to worry?

Hello there. Gallbladder is normally distended with bile. So it is nothing serious. Unless its distended with multiple stones/sludge then it will require treatment/surgery.

The ball bladder is like a balloon. When it fills up with bile it increases in size or becomes distended. It’s normal when scan is done after a bit of fasting. Nothing to worry about.
