Foreskin of penis retracted

Iam 20 years old, recently i have retracted my foreskin and it started causing great discomfort and irritation. Discomfort  is occurring only from the tip of the penis. The tip   became very sensitive area after foreskin is retracted. Is  this normal for first few days or should I consult a doctor for this problem?
