Hello sir.
If there is persistent numbness and pain , it could develop into compression of nerve at the wrist ( Carpal tunnel syndrome ) . Please use a soft towel or small cushion under your wrist while working on the laptop or computer. Start strengthening exercises for the wrist. And move your wrists and fingers in 15-20 mins interval time.
