Fistula surgery wound healing

I had fistuletomy surgery with ILS 40 days back. My stools were usually bulky and a bit hard. Due to this, i regularly had blood in my stools. The last bleeding i had during bowel movement was last saturday. After that, for the last 1 week, i have been taking laxatives, and there has been no bleeding. Attached is a picture i clicked. From the picture, could you please tell me if the wound is healing? From the picture, could you please tell me how many weeks do i need to heal completely?

Knowing your type of surgery will be helpful. We can help only if all information is shared. Better to visit again to your surgeon

Greetings! ILS is internal lateral sphincterotomy done for chronic fissure and sometimes can be combined with fistulectomy surgeries Main principle of ILS : relaxation of sphincter to make smooth passage of stools without any straining From the pictures attached (partially visible lesion) looks like an acute exacerbation of chronic fissure. It presents with increased straining while passing stools, pain and bleeding. Treatment is SITZ BATH, antibiotics and laxative. I highly recommend you to consult the same surgeon as he knows the exact procedure and proceedings of the same surgery. Also the examination can be completely done to identify the lesion correctly. Thank you (Any queries feel free to contact me)
