My baby is 21months old and has fever. Widal test gave the following result: s. paratyphi A : O (1/160) $ H (1/160), s. paratyphi B: O (1/80) $ H (1/160), s. paratyphi C: O (1/80) and H (1/160), s. paratyphi D: O (1/80) $ H (1/80). Please is this positive or negative for typhoid.
Hey.... I’ll definately help u out in ur time of distress... but firstly u must understand this... widal is a very non specific test which has lot of errors, so we cannot fully depend on its result to start out treatement . Can u help me with few more details???

What is the current weight of the child and since how long does the child have fever?? Have u done other tests along with the widal like urine routine or complete blood count?? Is the child presently on any medicines???
