Hi Widal is positive is for enteric fever (typhoid) but since this test has got many false positive and false negative results..it must be correlated with clinical findings. This test is significant when done after 7 days of fever and on repeated testing rising titre is noted. Accordingly treatment may be adviced. To confirm Blood culture should be done.
