99 degree temperature may not be fever and if you are feeling feverish whiskey may not be the cause however whiskey if over consumed  may be the reason you are thinking like this. Poisonous whiskey will make you sick requiring Hospitalization and won't make you scared. In situation like this if you feel overdose of alcohol please visit nearby hospital emergency room.

What other symptoms you are facing besides fever which make you feel that whiskey was poisonous slight temperature rise is very normal after alcohol consumption since digestion of alcohol is exothermic reaction which releases heat resulting into the rise in body temperature. If the whiskey would had been poisonous see would feel other symptoms like palpitation gastric and easiness headache etc.
