Hi , My child of 8months, body temperature was on sudden went to 101 degrees. I have given 1ml of Paracetamol Syrup IP 125mg. Kindly suggest what I need to do.

Dose is less for an 8 mnth old child , his weight must be 7-8 kg so u should give at least 3.5 ml. Second thing sudden high fever in an infant need to be evaluated by a pediayrician so get him checked. It coukd be anything from simple viral fever to UTI . Need to do urine routine as well if fever is the only symptom.
