Feeding bottle safe for 5 month old?
My son is 5 months old and till now he is on both mother's milk as well as formula milk.
Since starting we are giving him formula milk using spoon. As he is growing he cries a lot while spoon feeding him and sometimes because of crying he vomits.
Is it time to switch on feeding bottle for him and is that safe?
I feel, because he cries a lot and vomits sometimes while giving formula milk by spoon, he is not having benefits most out of formula milk.
Please suggest that can I switch on feeding bottle? Is that safe?

Just stick to spoon feeding only if child is vomiting then it may be a gastro-eosophageal reflex seen in some of child. This is because bottle feeding has many more disadvantages. You can give syrup Ondensentron or domperidone for vomiting for 1-2 days and see the response. And give more of Breast feed only avoid formula feeding for next one month if possible.
Next Steps
stick to BF and formula feeding (as and when required only).
start complementary feeding after completing 6 months.

if vomiting is severe ( very frequently and large amount) or greenish or child become irritable or intake decreases, do consult Pediatrician in person.
