Kindly Check for vision , IOP ,  put the eye drops and get fundus evaluation for disc changes  get the investigation done like oct disc  , perimetery , pachymetery As there is family history getting complete evaluation is necessary don't be scared but get the complete evaluation

Primarily, get checked for your intraocular pressure whenever the doctor advises you. Never miss the follow up. HFA,Oct rnfl, central corneal thickness, IOP diurnal is required to clinch the diagnosis. If the pressure is well controlled it is a slowly progressive disease, you may have vision throughout life.
Next Steps
Go to the treating doctor and get investigated to confirm the diagnosis and start the treatment of needed or keep under observation
