My finger got pulled while playing and now i am not able to have a free movement. The finger is now weak and hence my hand grip has also become weak. MRI suggests FDP tendon tear.

FDP or Flexor digitorum Profundus helps in gripping by forceful flexion of fingers. If the MRI suggests tear as you have mentioned, it will require surgical repair.

FDP tear surgical repair after 7-10 days of injury will be very difficult. Hence you need to be evaluated quickly. Please meet an orthopaedic hand surgeon.
