Family inheritance of diabetes

Hello Doctor, My grandmother (mom's side) has diabetes and out of 4 of my grandmother's children my Mother (the eldest) has it too and I was born before my mom got diagnosed with diabetes and I am the eldest one as well whereas my father is not infected. What are the chances that I inherent the disease? Or , Does it depend on my lifestyle and diet plan ..?

Type 2 diabetes and one more type of diabetes (MODY) gets inherited. Sedentary lifestyle, obesity, junk food causes early manifestation of symptoms. Monitoring fasting sugars and HbA1c every year after 35 years is advisable.
