If the diagnosis is meibomian adenitis you may do warm compresses instead of scrubbing as that would loosen up the clogged material gradually. There are eye pads available for the purpose that can be warmed in a microwave oven and then applied as per the manufacturer's instructions. For simple cleansing Citremide Cleanser Foam available from Zydus Cadilla may be used. It requires only mild rubbing and wiping off only.
