Cross-eye means having one or both eyes turned inwards towards nose focusing on object very close, permanent condition is known as convergent squint. It may be due to temporary loss of control of focus.Treatment is different in children & adults, child below 10yrs first refraction is done for eyeglasses,if it is case of amblyopia then patching of one or both eyes alternatively & pleotics exercise in unpatched eye to improve the vision then surgery for cosmetic purposes. In adults first refraction for eyeglasses, patches & pleotics have no role for improvement of vision, so surgery is advised for cosmetic purposes only.
