My son has redness in his left eye (white area) along with a little bump at the outline of cornea (left eyelid).
After consulting a pediatrician, I was advised that he either hurt himself with his nail or it is viral. Furthermore, Cifran eye drops was prescribed.
Although I used it on my son's eye once but stopped when I read in Practo that this is not recommended for children under 1 year of age.
Please advise what to do now. Whether to continue it or not? Which doctor to consult a pediatrician or a opthalmologist? Some said it is a viral & will go away in its own. I am now worried about my little son.
Please share a close up pic of his eyes with information about pain redness watering discharge itching and blurring of vision Or consult an ophthalmologist.
