Visit an eye specialist and get a dry eye workup done. This the most common cause of  redness in young adults these days. Based on the severity, appropriate treatment will be prescribed.

This condition is most commonly associated with dryness of eyes. However, if there is sticky discharge, pain or loss of vision, there can be other conditions associated which require a detailed ophthalmological examination.

Try washing your eyes with cold clean water twice a day (not more than that). Avoid taking blow of the AC directly in the face while travelling in a car or in the office One might need artificial tear drops depending on the severity of the signs and symptoms.
