Extreme phobia of sudden loud sounds

I have a really intense fear of the sound of fireworks and thunderstorms. Whenever I hear sudden loud sounds like thunder or fireworks. it feels like my whole body gets a shock. I start sweating a lot, and my heart beats really fast. I check the weather frequently and I can't focus on anything when I know a thunderstorm is coming. Sometimes, it gets so bad that I have suicidal thoughts. I've had this problem since I was a child. Dealing with this problem is really tough. I'm 24, and it's causing me a lot of trouble in my day-to-day life. I just wish there was a cure, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be one. If there was a medicine that could make me unconscious or fearless for 2-3 hours, it would be a huge relief. Otherwise, I might have to consider drastic measures like making myself deaf to cope with it. Please help.
