Patient has to get a blood work up done. Haemoglobin, counts, peripheral smear examination, reticulocyte count, serum
ferritin,
thyroid profile(T3, T4,
TSH, Anti TPO antibodies) and hormonal tests in women(dheas, free
testosterone, 17 oh progesterone,
FSH,
LH) and trichoscopy scan at a dermatologist's clinic. Patient will also need to be clinically examined for type and pattern of hairloss. Rashes on hands and legs could be an allergy or related to hairloss. The reports have to be checked by a dermatologist and treated accordingly. In most cases low haemoglobin (anemia) if present must be investigated further. Thyroid dysfunction will also warrant a physician or endocrinologist consultation. Thyroid problems can cause dry skin leading to rashes and also causes tiredness. Anemia could also cause tiredness and will need to be checked for type of anemia and the cause for it. There might be several other causes for the symptoms you have told and we will get a better idea after clinical examination. Hope this helped. You may visit a dermatologist with the above reports for complete treatment. Warm regards. Dr. Rajdeep Mysore. Chirag Hospital Bangalore
