Excercise after sprain

Hi, I sprained my ankle about 4 weeks back(no fracture).I still have slight pain when I rotate my ankle . no pain while walking. Can I start going to the gym .if yes ,should I use treadmill or cross trainer for cardio?

you can start exercises ,before that do heel and toes rising exercises
