Hi Both are benzodiazepines, both are effective. However clonazepam’s onset of action is faster than that of etizolam. But at the same time clonazepam has stronger addiction potential than that of etizolam. However if you are taking it on sos basis then its okay.
Next Steps
To evaluate in detail about the fear and anxiety, you need to consult a psychiatrist.
Health Tips
Relaxation exercises, mindfulness and deep breathing will help in controlling anxiety.

Both drugs are being used in practice depending on the Doctor’s preferences. When Etizolam came into market, it was prescribed initially by practitioners but still majority of times, we prefer to write clonazepam.
Next Steps
Both drugs can cause side-effects like sedative and sleepiness in the user. The effects can vary in person to person . What I advice to the patient, take the dose of the drugs on Sunday or holidays and see the results yourself. Take the drug that suits you as per the sedation.
Health Tips
Driving is not recommended to the patients who are on such anxiolytics. Psychological therapy should also be combined with the problems like you are facing. Long term/Self medications are not recommended as these can cause dependence. Do consult a mental health professional for detailed history and to rule out medical conditions .
