Epiretinal membrane

If there is an epiretinal membrane in the left eye after 20 days of trauma, would it also transfer itself into the right eye even though the right eye was not hit or affected by the injury at all. The problem is that there is distortion of vision in both the eyes and a very thin layer of epiretinal membrane also exists in both eyes as per the vitreoretinal doc. However, before my symptoms started I had an injury to my left eye from a pellet. There was no hit to my right eye.

Epiretinal do not transfer from one eye to another. Kindly share your OCT to understand whether you truly have epiretinal membranes. Sometimes a hyper reflective ILM may appear as epiretinal membranes, especially in the young. Kindly get an online consultation to address all your concerns.
