Second Opinion on Epilepsy & ADHD-my daughter 4 years age, getting seizures per day 20 jerks & ADHD also,Currently she is currently under medicine. Last two days back MRI Brain Epilepsy protocol done.Where i saw in report that (Extracranial Soft tissue thickening in left frontal region & MR Findings s reveals no definite intracranial lesion is seen
Usuually epilepsy and adhd go hand inbhand so have to be very carefull about treating your chikd. The drugs used to treat ADHD can precipitate seizure so should be given carefully, so you nees to take opinion of both pediatric neurologist and chid psychiatrist.
MRI may not be abnormal in case of seizures so EEG may shiw abnormality, bases on clinical evaluation child can be made siezure free which can in turn help her ADHD to sertle down
