Enlarged Prostate

My father is a diabetic for 15+ years. Recently diagnosed with enlarged prostate. Report attached. This was found during a routine prostate check up. He has no trouble urinating, starting urination or maintaining a stream. Excessive urination or frequent urination also doesnt happen. Doctors are advicing for surgery? But if there are no adverse effects on urination or timing or any senses for him, is surgery really advisable? He had undergone cystoscopy to confirm enlarged prostate (confirmed) after that he feels his condition is even better than before.

Medical treatment is an option. Get serum PSA tested as well

He may  be managed with medicines as well. Try with medical management. Irritative urine symptoms may not relieved by surgery
