I'm suffering from chronic allergic rhino sinusitis with DNS and enlarged turbinate, But got to hear about a serious condition called ENS that might be a complication of turbinate reduction,
so my question is, is it ok for me to get my DNS corrected along with FESS without operation on my turbinate's
Allergic rhinitis usually can be managed without surgery with few months of steroid nasal sprays and anti Histamine medicines. If medicines fail to give you any benefits then surgery is necessary. Nowadays turbinate is reduced by mucosal sparing techniques such as turbinoplasty which has no chance of empty nose syndrome.
