Elevated PSA levels.
My father, aged 66 while on a 6 month visit to the UK, was experiencing frequent urination. Since returning, he got an ultrasound done where he found that it showed prostate magali grade 2. He subsequently checked his PSA level on 19th April which read 9.2 and re-took the test a month later (20th May) with no medication when the PSA level was 9.7. We are concerned and would like to know what the next course of action or treatment should be from here.

There is no specific normal or abnormal level of PSA in the blood..Although PSA testing can help catch prostate cancer at an early stage, having an elevated PSA (generally considered more than 4 ng/ml) doesn't necessarily mean that a man has cancer. with digital rectal examination doctor can feel fixity of prostate if it's cancerous so take him to general surgeon.
