Hi. I do not know why this has been posted on a psychiatry forum. But hypergammaglobulinemia is a situation where there is a large number of immunoglobulins during electrophoresis. It can be temporary as a result of infection etc. It can be seen with almost any viral infection. It will not affect your
hiv test. You have to do the spot hiv test and then go to VCTC at your nearest government center if spot test is positive. But if you have been involved in a needle prick injury or had unprotected Intercourse with someone you suspect could be HIV positive. Then you need to start prophylactic medication.
