Effect of Norethisterone

Hi, I had Norethisterone medicine to delay my periods and later I had contraceptive pill as well to avoid unwanted pregnancy , and now the issue is my period of delayed by 8 days and on 8th day I just had very little bleeding. Please suggest is this normal or do I need to consult the doctor. Regards
