Ear itching and thumb sucking

My baby 3 years old, always complain etching in both of his ears, and problem of thumb sucking, specially at sleeping time. For his ear I used "clear wax ear drops" From last one and half year (Not daily) ... What is the reason for both of problems and what should b the remedy

Dont worry it's just because of allergy..give syp alerid 1.5 ml twice a day for 3 days... Nothing else is needed
