Duphaston during Pregnancy,Abdominalpain
I am 5 weeks pregnant. Induced ovulation by FSH injection twice and an HCG shot. Took Estrogen tablet from 10th to 14th day and duphaston once a day from 16 to 24th day. Whenever I'm on Duphaston, my abdominal was paining and felt bloating. This increases the mucus-mostly watery. Now My Gync asked me to take Duphaston 10mg daily twice. I am suffering abdominal pain and leg cramps. No progestron test is done so far. My question is
1. Is Duphaston safe for me even after abdominal pain
2. Should I ask my Gyn for any alternative medicines.
3. All these side affects are normal while taking duphaston?
Duphaston is given as you have abdominal pain but it doesn't cause abdominal pain. Mucous discharge and bloating can occur during pregnancy. There are alternatives for duphaston and you can talk to your Gyn about this
Next Steps
Inform your consultant that you still have abdominal pain even after taking duphaston and get a scan done. Urinary infection has to be ruled out
