Dry cough and black specks in phlegm

2018-02-22 08:47:52
I have started seeing black specks in my phlegm every morning and experiencing dry cough since 2 months. I used to smoke but I haven't from the past 3 weeks or so. I am taking cough syrup right now and have also taken a week of antibiotics suggested by a doctor. I don't have time to go to a doctor. Please suggest what can be done? Thanks

Blackish sputum is normal once you quit smoking. It will continue to come for may be for 2 months. It is a tar which is being cleared out from your lungs and it is a good sign  during recovery from smoking withdrawal
Next Steps
Consult nearby pulmonologist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
