7 months post op, still using pain killers, why? First of fall stop using pain killers, rehab is very important after shoulder surgery to regain full ROM, otherwise stiffness is the most common complication, if you have done physio well and still you haven’t able to regain 100% ROM, consult a shoulder surgeon for physical examination and repeat MRI for further evaluation.

Stiffness and arthritis of shoulder joint are most common complications after Bankart repair. Aggressive physiotherapy is required for full recovery (for painless complete Range of Motion and avoid dislocation). As you mentioned you do physiotherapy exercises sometimes, this may lead to incomplete recovery and hence less ROM than normal.
Next Steps
Go for MRI for better evaluation of exact pathology at the current stage. And consult your doctor/operating surgeon for better understanding of your scenario.
Health Tips
if pain is severe, take painkiller for symptomatic relief but not more than 1 week.
