What is the difference between CBC and Peripheral blood smear(PBS)? I have done CBC and Iron test both for my father and his Iron Spectrophotometry test is: 1.Iron-38.00 ug/dL range-65.00 - 175.00 2. Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)-368.00 μg/dL Range -250 - 425 3.Transferrin Saturation-10.33 % 20.00 - 50.00 So my question is his CBC report is ok but there are some deficiencies shown in iron test .... so I have to do PBS test aswell? And what are the differences between CBC and PBS test? Please guide Thanks
