My mother has been suffering from anxiety and insomnia. Doctor has prescribed Lonazep MD 0.5, but pharmacist wrongly gave Lonazep 0.5. She has already consumed those medicines for five days now. What is the difference between Lonazep MD 0.5 and Lonazep 0.5? Will consumption of Lonazep 0.5 instead of Lonazep MD 0.5 cause any problem? Please reply.

MD stands for mouth dissolving. MD tabs are needed to be kept in mouth and not meant for swallowing, unlike other tabs. Chemistry is same in both.
