Hello, I am Male, age 23, weight 83, I recently done CBP my hemoglobin is 11 grams. And due  to 187 RBS report doctor suggested me to do HB A1C. 1. Is there any relationship between low hemoglobin and HB A1C test result? 2. Or is it ok to go HB A1C without considering my low hemoglobin? 3. Or shall I go to test after improving my hemoglobin level ? Please suggest...Thank you.

Yes.Low hemoglobin may falsely elevate HbA1C value.. First do Fasting blood sugar and 2 hr postprandial blood sugar..Control blood sugar based on fasting and post prandial sugar value. Take anemia treatment.. Better to do Hba1c, once hemoglobin above 13g/ dl.. Don't rely on Hba1c value even if you perform now as it may falsely high..
