Hi, My mom took sugar test. The reported sugar level 324. If sugar level is above 240then we consider it's very high. She is taking medicine. I want to know is that really big problem. Do we need to go for any other test?

Hello.. 240 or 349 are high only...we need to maintain the fasting blood sugar below 126...2 hours after food to 150-180...and then random blood sugar below 200....we need to examine her..know what medications she is on...secondly about her diet and exercise activities..thirdly we need to check for urine ketine bodies and also glycosylated haemoglobin so that I can check her sugar control of last 3 months...thank you
