Have an ulcer that won't go away, looks like a raised growth. It's on the tongue and has been there for more than 2 yrs now. Didn't change in size, a GP suggested I get it cut off but should I see a dermatologist or a ENT specialist ?

All types of mouth and jaw diseases are dealt by the dentist who is Specialized in Oral Medicine. They will diagnose the condition take a biopsy or other investigations if needed and will try handling medically if it is the choice else if surgery is the treatment for such condition it is suitably referred to an Oral Surgeon. Therefore this is purely in the domain of a dentist. Much more problems like cancer a team of other specialist will be consulted. Therefore it is pertinent to initially addressed to an Oral Medicine expert immediately. U may also Practo. Consult. Tc

You may see an ENT surgeon if it is on the back of your tongue. Your dentist can also check and advise you further
