Why does one ssri work on a person and other doesn't. Many doctors say that they all are same but it depends on the one which is more tolerable (less side effects) for a particular person but their structure is also different, doesn't it make any difference in the way they work. I have taken escitalopram and fluoxetine but still don't know which one works. Can anyone exalplain me in detail
Any psychiatric medication would have it's own way of working in a client's body. Yes, you are correct about the fact that they work different but if you compare it to other medicines we take. For example: pain medication, we can take different medication of the same pain and they all work in giving the results but they are structurally very different. It's the same with psychiatric medication.
