Sir/Mam, I am having this problem for many years now. Whenever I go to sleep or I laugh out loudly, thick mucus/phlegm gets deposited in the middle of my throat and then it makes breathing nearly impossible. I don't know where it comes from. Many a times I wake up at midnight gasping for breathe. Vanishes automatically when I stand up for few hour
