My mother 45 yrs thinks that there is an black magic done on her family and she found its remedy by washing everything.this problem is with her father as well as with sisters of her father i.e.g genetically. she is from a place where these beliefs are taken so much...I want to remove or change her thinking that there is no such magic...and it is just a myth.. please help me..!
While belief in black magic is sometimes a local belief it can also be a sign of psychosis. Since your mother is acting out on that belief to the extent of continuously washing everything, this behavior is not normal and requires evaluation and treatment.
