Delivery complication for a diabetic mom

I had no diabetic history but somehow it got induced during my pregnancy. Presently I am on insulin 16-unit morning and 12-unit evening. Should I wait for labor pain or delivery baby before due date thorough artificial labor pain ? What is best way? Safe for me as well my coming baby.
