Today morning when I woke up and spitted (I didn't get any cough, only spitted), the spit was dark red in colour.i never had condition like this in my life. This is first time. This week I had tongue sore , yesterday I have applied ora fast (choline salicylate n lignocaine hydrochloride gel) to heal the sore. This could be the reason for blood spit today? I saw there is no cut in tongue or mouth to cause blood spit. Spits came via throat /tube is red colour, however after I brushed n had half litre of water. I tried to spit, and it was normal in Color . Is this condition serious ? Do I need to meet doctor? Which specialist should I meet if so?
