Daily use of Pantoprazole 20 safe or not

I am a gastritis patient..and it started from avout 1 year..still it required a 20 mg ppi to ease the symptom..i am taking pan 20 ..one tab per day..is it safe to take pan 20 long or i should stop medication and should try to ease symptom natural way.
